Extend Technologies sells SAP Business One Practice

Extend Technologies today announces the completion of the sale of its SAP Business One business to Enabling Pty Ltd.

The sale comes at a strategic point in Extend Technologies' journey as it expands into Western Australia and consolidates its focus on providing SAP solutions and services to medium-to-large organisations.

With support from SAP more than 25 clients will be transferred to Enabling to continue their SAP journey. In addition all Extend Technologies' SAP Business One staff and contractors will now be employed by Enabling under the agreement.

"The decision to sell the SAP Business One business was due to the fact that 90% of our business is SAP solutions and services for mid to large enterprise," said Extend Technologies', Managing Director,  Max White.

"Rather than be all things to all parties, we chose to focus on our core business and embrace the current economic climate which holds opportunities for growth in the mid to large enterprise space as companies look to increase their ROI on their SAP investment," said Mr White.

Extend Technologies and Enabling have agreed to operate as a strategic alliance post-sale to ensure any companies looking at SAP Business One or SAP All-in-One have experienced consultants to talk to.

"It was a natural business decision for Enabling to pursue Extend Technologies' offer, as being a SAP Business One reseller completed our market vendor portfolio," said Enabling Director, Ms Miree Le Roy.

"We are working hand-in-hand with Extend Technologies to ensure a smooth transition for clients and the strategic alliance will assist in a solid pipeline for the future," said Ms Le Roy.

Extend Technologies offered the business for sale in February 2009, undertaking careful due diligence of prospective buyers to ensure clients would be comfortable with the expertise and strength of their new provider.
