Date: 4 Aug 2008

Australian SAP partner, Extend Technologies is integrating the platforms of the two biggest names in the IT industry, SAP and Microsoft. This is a result of acquiring an award winning Microsoft Solutions Team from a major Australian systems integrator for the purposes of opening windows into SAP.

"We are a provider of SAP enterprise solutions, but many of our clients also want to leverage their investment in Microsoft for selected business scenarios. The benefits for clients of combining the two platforms are extraordinary," said Max White, CEO Extend Technologies.

The enablement of SAP functionality into the Microsoft environment is all about bringing existing SAP logic and information to more parts of the business via customised SharePoint, mobility and .NET user interfaces.

"We are looking at smart, more cost effective ways for SAP clients to get the most out of their systems and investments in both SAP and Microsoft," said Max White.

According to CIO article, IT Has A Better Idea (19 May, 2008) "The development of innovative products and services ... is an imperative for enterprises of every stripe in response to rising stakeholder expectations and growing market competition."

Extend Technologies is stepping up to market demands and meeting client needs with proven innovative technologies that align to their goals; fast, smarter and affordable.

By integrating SAP and Microsoft platforms, Extend Technologies has crossed technical barriers allowing clients to move forward and explore the power at their fingertips without diversifying from solid IT investments.

Mobility solutions, integration solutions, and specialized user interfaces are all examples of how SAP customers can leverage Microsoft technologies to improve their data integrity, lower their total cost of ownership, accommodate unique business processes, and improve access to a centralized data and processes.

"The interest received in the marketplace is huge, confirming our strategic business decision and investments for the future," said Max White.
