Sydney Australia, 7 June 2010 - Extend Technologies and Avantis Information Systems today announced their strategic alliance, a business alignment which will bring together two of SAP‟s leading partners in the SAP ERP and SAP BusinessObjects space.

Just as SAP acquired BusinessObjects in 2007 to launch itself ahead of the pack in Business Intelligence (BI), the strategic alliance between Extend Technologies and Avantis Information Systems is the first marriage in the SAP partner community of pure BusinessObjects and an SAP ERP provider.

"Extend Technologies‟ expertise in SAP‟s ERP and data warehouse combined with Avantis Information Systems‟ market-leading front-end query and reporting tools and services provide a competitive advantage for the alliance in the Australian market," said Max White, Managing Director, Extend Technologies.

Australian businesses can expect end-to-end business intelligence services and solutions as a result of this alliance. "Customers will be able to obtain their entire BI solution from either organisation, an offering which is unprecedented in the Australian market," said Colin Pearshouse, General Manager, Avantis Information Systems.

"Our combined BI teams total nearly 50 staff covering every area of SAP Business Intelligence in great depth. This will be one of the largest SAP Business Intelligence team in Australia, enabling customers to have confidence that their BI project will be well executed with the best „go-to-market‟ strategy on the market," said Max White.

"SAP is very supportive of the alliance, seeing it as the next frontier as our channel embrace complementary skill sets to build strength and competitive positioning, advancing SAP‟s position as the world leader in business intelligence," said Helen Masters, General Manager, Fast Growth Markets, SAP ANZ.

Business Intelligence is by far the most sort after software application on the market today as organisations look to gain greater value from their ERP system and differentiate themselves from their competitors through the knowledge and benefits these tools can provide.

Extend Technologies and Avantis Information Systems together can leverage the integration between SAP and BusinessObjects to truly amplify the reach of Business Intelligence to customers.
