Allied Mills had a requirement to further automate to processes of order fulfilment and receival processing.

Allied Mills is a joint venture between the public listed Australian agribusiness GrainCorp and the international marketer and distributor of agricultural products Cargill. Allied Mills had a requirement to further automate the processes of order fulfilment and receival processing.

In the dispatch centre, Extend have deployed a mobile solution where the device is used to scan the barcode on the dispatch order which brings up details about all the line items required to fulfil the specific order. As the line items are collected for dispatch the handheld is used to scan each individual item and continuously show remaining line items required to fulfil the order. Once the order has been dispatched, the corresponding transaction is synchronised to SAP directly from the mobile device.

Allied Mills also use Extend's mobile solution for material receival processing. As goods are delivered, all items are scanned and matched against the delivery order. Inventory numbers on each material is updated in SAP directly from the mobile device.
